Overlap

Overlap functions as a modular coffee table, lengthened or shortened with 6"-wide tri-pod leafs, which double as auxiliary seating in a pinch. Made as a simple expression of two metal fabrication techniques in 1/4" steel plate, one part is folded using a press brake, and all three parts are welded together along one seam before receiving a coat of paint. The staggered legs create a bold, A-shaped graphic, as well as a registration recess for intuitive aggregation.
